On the 28th and 29th of June, NABC hosted the plenary meeting with EBCAM, the European Business Councils for Africa and the Mediterranean.

NABC Chairman Kees van Heijst became the president of EBCAM for this year. We look forward to working together with our European partner organization, joint trade missions are currently being explored. Before and after the EBCAM meeting, NABC organized a formal dinner and a lunch seminar with prominent speakers, such as the Director-General of Foreign Economic Relations, Mr. Roderick van Schreven. The lunch seminar was about commercial opportunities in low income groups ("the base of the pyramid"). The seminar provided practical knowledge on strategic approaches to African markets. Amongst others, the Technical University of Delft and Philips gave presentations about this topic. Both events were sponsored by Shell and Philips.
