NOVATECH 2008, is the first stage of a dynamic process for the promotion and support to the ICT sector in East Africa and Indian Ocean.

This high level meeting, is organised by Pro?Invest, a common programme of the European Commission (EC) and the group of ACP states (Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific), to strengthen Intermediary Organisations to promote investment and technology flows to enterprises operating within key sectors in the ACP States.
NOVATECH offers a platform for intense information and interaction between participants from Europe and the region. During NOVATECH, Companies will have the opportunity to initiate talks on potential partnerships, Intermediary Organisations and Professional Associations can define joint support programmes in favour of the sector, and Regional Economic Organisations and Institutions will be able to express their policies regarding ICT. In addition to the core Business to Business meetings, workshops and conferences will allow the participants to grasp the actual trends in key topics.
In this context, Novatech will gather some 250 to 300 high level delegates originating from Europe and East Africa and Indian Ocean. In addition, up to 150 attendees from all over Africa and abroad will participate in the research track of the event. All the key players in the ICT sector will be present: private and public companies, policy decision-makers, professional associations, investment promotion agencies, cooperation agencies, European, international and regional financial institutions.
