On 17 March 2008, the Dutch network of the UN Global Compact is organizing a symposium.

The goal of this symposium is to exchange information that can be used to execute plans for partnerships more efficiently and effectively. The objective is to achieve a significant step forward in the contribution that the private business sector is making towards the attainment of sustainable development.
Participants of a number of partnerships between companies, governments and NGO?s, can share experience amongst each other. The program will be entirely in English and consists of plenary sessions as well as workshops.
The symposium will be concluded with a discussion between Ruud Treffers (Development Cooperation), Ren? Grotenhuis (President Cordaid) and Mike Wilkinson (Royal Dutch Shell, Vice President Sustainable Development) over the roles, contributions and expectations of all parties involved in a partnership.
