Wednesday 28 May
On May 28th the Chamber of Commerce in Rotterdam is organizing the ?Morocco Water Day?, in order to emphasize on the current water problems and promote investment opportunities in the water sector. The water problems in Morocco are increasing because of desertification, water shortage and clogging of water rads. Because of deforestation and long erosion process the retention capacity of the ground and the mountains have decreased tremendously that the rain water is almost the same as the current of the sea. That causes losses of water and futile land. The growing need for water from households, industries, and agriculture combined with the lack of adequate water has caused a decrease in the water level in Morocco. Due to that a lot of rural wells and water sources are dry.
