Sunday 21 September
Amports (the promotion organisation for the Amsterdam's North Sea Canal area) is organizing a port and trade mission to the West African countries, Ivory coast and Ghana from the 21st till the 26th of September. Participants include representatives of line services, ship-brokers, terminal operators, logistical services providers, importers & exporters, the road and water construction sector, port consultants and port authorities.

The delegation will be held by port aldermen of Amsterdam, Takoradi in Ghana and Abidjan in Ivory Coast. Visitors will be taken to the ministries and port authorities. The delegation will be led by port alderman of Amsterdam, Mr. Freek Ossel. The mission will visit the Ghanaian capital city Accra, the ports Tema and Takoradi and the capital city of Ivory coast, Abidjan. Visits are planned to the ministry, port authorities, shipping organization and exporters. Furthermore, a match making session and a network organization will take place. Amports has decided to leave the mission open for non-members as well, as long as they are directly or indirectly involved in shipping or trade between Northwest Europe and West Africa.
