In June 2008 a business trade mission will be taking place in Kenya.
Kenya has traditionally been taken a special position in East Africa through its strong economical performance. Due to a liberalization of the economy it has seen a remarkable real GDP growth of 6,1% in 2006. For 2008 a growth rate of 7% has been predicted.

Kenya's budget is financed almost independently from donors. The strongest economic trade ties exist between Kenya and the EU, which has a long history as partner. Even though the export oriented agriculture sector remains the most important industry sector for the Kenyan economy, tourism as well as the telecommunication sectors are of high significance.
