Saturday 02 May
NABC organizes a trade mission to South Sudan and Uganda from May 2nd - May 9th, 2009.

With a growth rate of about 9% in 2007, and 8,5% in 2008 (IMF, 2009) Sudan is the 17th fastest growing economy in the world. The most important sector remains agriculture, employing 80% of the work force and contributing 39% of the GDP. However, the service sector has become the engine of growth in Sudan with many investment opportunities that can be found in for example the telecom and tourism sector. In addition, there is an enormous demand for infrastructural investments. NABC combines the trade mission to South-Sudan with a visit to Uganda, because of the trade route and the priority to stimulate trade and investment between the two countries. This mission is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is organized within the frame of the Public-Private Cooperation project coordinated by Clingendael.
