Dutch structural steel company building bridges in North-East of DRC

Published on: 08-Jul-2015

Dijkstaal International B.V., a Dutch structural steel company, is very excited to have realised its first project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

This 135+years modern family-owned company, specialised in modular steel structures and steel bridges, has built a bridge in the city Nyankunde for and together with the Dutch Zaaier foundation.

This foundation is active in the northeast of DRC, mainly in the agricultural sector. In the beginning of this year the bridge has been built to connect remote villages on one side of the river, and the town of Nyankunde with its hospital, market and schools
on the other side of the river.

For Dijkstaal International B.V. it’s a special project because of its social impact. The company strives to get involved in these inclusive projects, and also in the DRC.
