Are you interested in hiring and training a talented staff member from Nigeria or Senegal for 1-2 years? Or is your company already active in Africa and looking for opportunities to expand its local workforce (e.g. via remote working)?
Then join our webinar to find out the benefits of hiring a talent from Nigeria or Senegal.
In partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the NABC has commenced a 3-year project, MATCH, which utilises legal migrant pathways for Nigerians and Senegalese talent to fill labour shortages in the technology/IT sector in the Netherlands. Through this demand driven project, IOM and NABC will support Dutch companies with the recruitment of highly qualified young talents from Senegal and Nigeria. These countries have a surplus of high educated workforce, particularly in the innovation and technology sectors. The project offers a unique opportunity to Dutch companies interested in doing business in Africa, or those with already existing local offices on the continent to explore the untapped talent in Nigeria and/or Senegal.
During this webinar you will learn more about the MATCH project, the potential of labour supply from Africa, the legal pathways for hiring a talent, and hear more about the experiences of companies already actively hiring talent from Nigeria or Senegal. In addition, the webinar will explore the changing hiring landscape following the COVID-19 outbreak and how Dutch companies can increase their local presence in Africa by utilizing local talent e.g. via remote working.
How can your company benefit from the MATCH project?
Several economic sectors in Europe are struggling to find adequate skills to fill labour shortages. Despite the ongoing efforts aimed at activating the pool of unemployed, finding additional skilled labour remains a big challenge. The MATCH project (Migration of African Talents through Capacity building and Hiring) aims at enabling Nigerian and Senegalese talent to work for a period of 1-2 years in companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, or Luxembourg where specific sectorial labour shortages have been identified - primarily the ICT, technology and digitalisation sectors.
Young candidates from Nigeria & Senegal will be targeted and invited for a temporary job placement, following profile screening and matching with said companies, to upscale their skills and increase their employability upon return to their home countries. In addition to the mobility scheme, MATCH will implement complementary activities such as skills development, capacity building and knowledge sharing. The selected canidates will be invited to attend trainings organised by the individual companies, Employer Organisations or Employment Agencies. The candidate will also be invited to engage in projects in their home country to share their knowledge and skills.
