The NABC will welcome an incoming mission from Kenya 23-27 October 2016. The content will focus on the transfer of knowledge and exchange of experiences in the agro-logistics, urban planning and development of greenports. The focus of this mission is to inspire and inform Kenyan parties on an integral approach to sustainable urban planning. The Netherlands serves as a good example of agriculturally-based industries in a rapidly urbanising context. Contact Jan Maas directly with questions.
The Regional Agro Industrial Network (RAIN), ‘Planning for the food value chain’ outlines how the project focuses on leveraging economic development in relation to rural agriculture and urban industries by improving the food value chain with regional agro-industrial networks.
